I’m writing this as I’m getting ready to leave for the airport. I keep thinking about what I’ll be writing about this week, the people I’ve interacted with so far, and what’s going to come out of this project. Though I have a focus for this blog, I’m also open to this taking a completely different direction if somehow events lead to that. I never really imagined doing something like this at this point of my life and while I’m excited for it, I’m also a little nervous, not knowing what to expect entirely. What I’m sure of is my desire to continue conversations such as this one, to keep trying to open doors for awareness and promote action for change. It’s been a crazy week prepping for the trip and I’m ready to get started despite my nervousness. Thank you to everyone who’ve left me supportive messages and good wishes, it means a lot to me. Today’s entry is short, but I promise, tomorrow’s entry will have a very interesting topic!
